"I read some reviews before I bought this fridge. I should have listened to them. But my options were limited, so I bought it. They are right in saying that only stuff on the bottom, or touching the sides freeze. Anything stacked above, does not. I switched places and put the frozen one on top and the unfrozen on the bottom. And I keep checking to see that the one on top didn't thaw out. Also, this fridge DOES NOT work well in heat. If it's used as a fridge only, or with very little in the freezer, it's fine. I'd take it back, but it's not feasable to do so."

"When I bought this fridge, it didn't have any damages like the other reviews said theirs did, but it's always loud & doesn't keep my ice cream frozen. The freezer section has a lot of frost but doesn't really work. It wakes me up at night because it's so loud."

Ignore the so-called freezer.,January 16, 2009

"I live in an efficiency apartment. The previous fridge died and the landlord replaced it with this model. I've been using it for 6 months now and it's been such a frustrating appliance that I had to review for others to know what I have gone through. I got this new during the summer. During warm summer days this fridge would freeze everything in it and cooler days it worked fine. The problem was each day I would turn the temp up or down. Imagine coming home to cook chicken and the top is a block and the other side is soft. The freezer would not keep ice solid during the summer. Once fall hit the fridge worked great but the so-called freezer section started frosting over. Not only that but the frozen food directly on the metal tray would be solid ice but the side towards the top of the fridge would be soft. I was throwing food out left and right. I hate wasting food. Tonight I came home and could no longer shut the freezer door because of the frost build up. Luckily it's 9degrees outside at the moment and I'm able to put the food outside for an hour as I defrost this piece of junk.
I really think if you put this in a cool basement it might work gret for keeping some stuff at a good tempature. If your house/apt. gets warm inside during the summer then this will not do the job properly. Also I have to defrost this thing on a regular basis. Just because it's small doesn't make it acceptable to carry this to a tub or outside to defrost every other month. Good luck."

"I bought this product for my college dorm and it has worked great! The frig isn't loud, it stays nice and cold and a lot of items can fit in it. It has held my pizza pockets, milk, oj and other drinks and has worked great! When i bought the frig there was no damage at all to it. The product was in great condition. I would recommend it for anyone that needs a little extra room or just a small place to hold some items,"

"I should have listened to the other reviews before bringing the fridge home. I don't know why they bother even attempting to "package" this product, other than for looks. Cardboard (single thickness) and 2 millimeter thick styrofoam (only on two sides) don't do a very good job to protect it from the obvious man-handling products receive in the back. The box didn't look bad, but after opening it the fridge had obviously been dropped or had something dropped on it. The top side edge was dented and crinkled. It took us 1 1/2 hours at the store to get a replacement-had to open several boxes to find one that wasn't dented. Great little fridge, but good luck getting one that isn't damaged."

"The reviews for this refrigerator are right on. Perfect size and works fine...assuming you get one that only has cosmetic damage. I am now convinced that ALL of the 3.9 cu ft refrigerators are damaged after visiting their store in Ann Arbor. I took one back to my daughter's room..after reading the reviews and inspecting the box for damage. I thought I was safe. The box looked good so I bought it. After unpacking I found the right rear corner was badly dented in and could not be leveled. I went back to the store and returned it for another unit. We searched through 6-10 before we found one that was OK...not perfect mind you...but, OK. Best I can tell the units must be damaged before/as they are being packed. The unit appears to be working well, but it was a real hassle. I would look for another brand based on this experience. But let me say this...the folks at the Sears store in Ann Arbor were very nice about the situation."

"First, this is the only fridge I own, no full size, after spending some time in England where most of the average people have under-the-counter fridge I got used to it. Don't know what all the problems are with people getting dented items. Ordered mine online, had delivered by UPS, carried up two stories of stairs, opened in perfect condition. NO damage at all! Holds more than I thought it would. As of now I have 2 pkg. of meat, 3 pkg. of veg. plus ice cream in the freezer. Not bad. Have not had to defrost freezer in two months. I have nothing bad to say about this item at all. I love it!"

"After a few days of consideration, I decided to purchase this kenmore for my daughters dorm room. Although I read the reviews, I still went ahead and bought it. I shouldnt have ! I guess I had more faith in the store located near me but what a big mistake !! It was damaged on all sides !! I havent brought it back yet but I surely will which makes me even more angry. The other review says it took them more than 3 times but I surely will take it out of the box next time. Dont bring it home without taking it out of the box ! Save yourself the headache."
