Love this Stove,July 21, 2009
By gmabearfrom Palisade, Mn
"I purchased this stove in December 2008 and absolutely love it. I love the large grates, the middle long burner and the warming drawer is a dream. My husband love's it when I warm up the plates before serving dinner. So far I have had no problems with the stove. The rubber tips have not come off and if they would I would probably just super glue them back on. I have not used the convection much as of yet. I guess I am a little hesitant as I don't know much about them, but will let you know when I accomplish it and how I like it."

Cooktop gets HOT!!!,July 2, 2009
By mm2litefrom Butler, PA
"I just purchased this product and was shocked at how HOT the cooktop became. I was only boiling a pot of water and the cooktop was so hot that it even makes my countertop get warm. I called Sears they said that it is normal. Even the enamal around the burner knobs was very warm. It seems odd to me that it would get so hot that you can't even touch the front part of the cooktop above the knobs. I have a Sears Tech. coming to take a look at it just to be on the safe side. The oven overall is a nice product and it bakes well. Just alarmed at how hot the enamal gets."

Problems in 3 months!,June 18, 2009
By BryanW1from Sugar Hill, GA
"This oven has performed well until I noticed today that the thin plastic control panel where the clock is located is already bubbling up and warping after only three months, giving it a less-than-attractive look. Nothing was spilled on it and the panel received no direct heat (we really never even use the rear burners), which is even more baffling. I'd make another choice in a range if I could."

Excellent cooking range,June 16, 2009
By cooldudencsufrom Raleigh, NC
"I purchased this range 4 months back and have been very happy with it so far. The oven and the convection fan allow for really crisp pizzas really fast. The cooking range has nice variety of sizes for the different kind of vessels and flame control. The minor gripes are about the smallest simmer burner cap sometimes restricts the autoignite from working on that burner, we had the cap replaced but it acts up everynow and then, just moving it a bit fixes the issue. The grates are heavy, but they rest on small rubber washers which fall out and then the grates become slightly uneven."

Excellent Value,June 11, 2009
By ilovebrusselsproutsfrom NJ
"I've had this range a couple of months and thought I'd add my 2 cents. Its excellent, the best range I've ever had. Love it. It cooks so much better than my old one its not even funny. The grates are confidence inspiring - very solid and heavy. Really like the burner size/output selection. Very comfortable oven handle, that does not demand any specific hand position unlike some other ranges, including other Kenmores. The convection fan works great and speeds up baking - great for quick after-work meals. Fairly intuitive oven controls - I've yet to read the manual. The top-mount broiler cooks very well, with a nice wide flame. The big window and bright light allow good visibility into the oven. One flaw - the adjustment on the burners can be a bit spotty - when going from mid to low, the flame sometimes rises a bit before going down. Overall, an excellent value, offering the same features as the big name ranges at a fraction of the price. Had to wait a looong time for the broiler pan to come, but that's a minor issue. Love my new range !"

awsome range,June 7, 2009
By katk4from la crescent, mn
"after having an electric range for years, missed having a gas range, after plumber ran gas line to kitchen i went shopping. this is the range i have always wanted. works perfectly, put it in kitchen, and within minutes was firing it up. things i love best about range, besides looking perfect are the cast iron grates, the metal handles- no plastic here. controls work perfectly. i just purchased new stainless fridge, and dishwasher, and bought this to match, not only matches perfecly, but love it by far the most. you could spent a thousand more and still not have the quality of this one. love the fact it doesnt have all the fancy electronics to break down. very easy to clean too. you will not be disapointed."

Best Stove Ever,April 20, 2009
By Jecklefrom Chicgo, IL
"After years of high-priced, "Brand Name" ovens that worked poorly and didn't deliver the promised cooking results, this stove is GREAT. Nothing fancy, no keypads to go hay-wire, the cooking is even, and the interior is one of the largest I have ever had the pleasure to use. The center burner is genius; no wasted space. Also, I love that I can move pans all over the top without having to lift them. The two turbo burners rock. We eat a lot of pasta, and the turbo brings the water from icy cold to boiling in approx. 14 minutes (large pot). Highly recommended."

Great Product,April 19, 2009
By JLW79from Rosewood Heights, IL
"I purchased this range about a month ago and I have been very pleased. The convection oven works great and cooks evenly. I really like the middle oval burner. It works great for my larger skillets. It allows even cooking and no hot spots. Good product and pricing."

Good service,February 24, 2009
By Editor319from Phoenix, AZ
"I got this stove a week ago, and so far it has been great. So wonderful to have gas instead of electricity. I have stir-fried, sauteed, made eggs and pizza. Today, however, I noticed a small dent in the stainless steel, near the over window. I thought, "How in heck did I do that?" Then I noticed a small dent in the exact same place on the other side of the window, so I knew I could not have made the dents. Called Sears, explained the problem, thinking they could look at the floor model and see if these dents are just part of the model's charm. Nope, no dents, I was told, and was offered a new stove or a $100 gift card. I am getting a new stove next week. After all the research, angst, etc., I just want the stove to be perfect. The point is, the service was great. They said they just want me to be happy, etc. They said the did not even need to look at the stove. I was very impressed."

Beautiful stove,January 8, 2009
By LaTinaDosfrom Texas
"This is a very nice stove (range-whatever )...just very hard to keep the black clean. If you spill salt on it while cooking, blow it off, don't rub it-as this will scratch the range. I used to have a bisque colored range that never showed smudges, etc. I'm still trying to get used to the convection. I love the warming drawer-sometimes I forget I have it. I've baked cookies, cinnamon rolls and cupcakes they baked perfect with the convection. I did bake a whole chicken that wouldn't cook all the way through-just kept it in there longer.
I would love if this stove came with a griddle, I don't broil much so I don't care about the broiler pan, kept my old one.
The overall stainless look is very nice, I really liked the stainless knobs on this stove, others came with black. The cast iron grates are heavy and not painted. The oven window is huge and the oven light is bright. My kids love to watch their goodies being baked, as if they were watching tv. Priceless!"

So Far, Pretty Great,December 25, 2008
By Anonymousfrom Virginia Beach, VA
"I also got mine installed yesterday. The install was a problem -- was bounced back and forth over the install date because it seems that my range disappeared from the warehouse. So far the range is fantastic. I researched for quite awhile and then waited for this model to be both available and on sale. There was one minor defect upon delivery -- small dent on the top back control panel and repair arrives tomorrow to replace that part. Two gripes that I do have -- one is that I share the opinion of the other reviewer who felt that the broiler pan should have been included rather than have me mail in the form and pay the $8.95. My second gripe is about the griddle -- the operator manual shows it as included with "some models" but there is no parts listing or information on how to get it (and I really want that). Hopefully all holds up, but so far it works like a charm."

Where's the broiler pan?,December 24, 2008
By Anonymousfrom Indiana
"Just had my new Kenmore stove installed yesterday, and so far I am delighted! But, it should come with a broiler pan. Instead, Sears offers a "gourmet pack" for $8.95 (shipping). Since when is an ordinary broiler pan a gourmet item?? The order form says that it will take 6 to 8 weeks to arrive. What if I had a yen for a steak tonight?"

Very happy so far,November 27, 2008
By MamaLamafrom New york
"SO far - my review is VERY GOOD STOVE. OK - it is only two weeks old and I hope to come back in a few months and update this - reliability is very important to me. I had my broiler die five years ago and my oven finally died about 2 months ago. I shopped for a lonnnngggg time for this new stove. I got a lot of flak from my family about no oven but wanted to be certain I got the best bang for my buck. I was looking for solid, simple, easy to use but good cooking and baking ability. I'm not a gourmet but I do cook every day and I appreciate tools that do the job right. I believe this range fits all my criteria and then some!
This stove has been given a workout since the day we hooked it up. I cook dinner every night for a family of 6. During the day - I go to work but the rest of my family gives it a workout. (I know because I come home to a sink full of pots and pans.... ) This stove top does the job. The grates are sturdy, the area around the burners wipes up easily. I have made gravies, cream sauces and cheese sauce for macaroni and cheese - no scalding, lumps or endless fights to get the temperature right.
It has baked beautifully cookies, brownies, breads, cherry, apple and pumpkin pies. (Hey - it's the holidays!)
Today it handled my Thanksgiving turkey in record time and there was still room in the over on the top rack for some of my vegie side dishes to bake. The warmer drawer kept everything nice an warm while i got it all together. Everything went to the table piping hot! Very nice!"

Great stove!!!!,November 15, 2008
By RedBaronfrom Fayetteville, NC
"The stove has been a great change from the electric model it replaced. The convection oven and warming drawer are great features on this model. The only thing that I wished it came with is the center griddle that comes on another model, but I don't think it was worth another $100."

Great range, one flaw,November 2, 2008
By lisa100from Atlanta, GA
"I bought this range and it was delivered last week. The right rear burner (simmer) would not always ignite so Sears said they would replace it. I got the new one today and same issue. It appears this might be a flaw with this model. This time I won't have them replace the range but will ask service to come out. Perhaps service will know exactly how to correct the problem!
Other then that, I really do like this range. I bought a cast iron grill to cook use over the center burner and it is great. The power burner is very nice. And I cannot say enough about the convection oven.
All in all I like this range but do hope Sears can fix the flaw with the one burner!"

Best value,October 6, 2008
By cathy1031from Texas
"I truly enjoy all of the functions of this range. It does everything exactly as it says. Even though the convection is not "true" convection, it cooks evenly and to perfection. The burners are nice and even and reduces down to a perfect simmer. The delayed timer allows you to program the oven to come on at a certain time and temp. then the oven shuts off after the programmed time. The only minor thing that I did not like is that while the oven is on it displays the temp. instead of the time."
