"I have a Fischer Paykel drawer dishwasher in my home in Northern Va. I bought this one for my beach house. I love this style. The drawer system is a relief on the back! No bending over and struggling to reach the lower regions. The wash quality is equal or exceeds other styles. With the food grinder in this one; no worry about a noodle or a pea left on the plate. Happy washing."

"This is a perfect dishwasher for empty nesters. Using one drawer full a day means that I don't have to wait 2-3 days to run the dishwasher. Yet when I have my 6 grandkids over, we have both drawers which hold an amazing amount of dishes. I love the way it looks; I love the way it is quiet; I love that I don't have to bend over loading it every day. I am only not rating it a 5 because of the pre-rinsing that is required. There is no grinder and you do have to be careful. But I will buy this dishwasher as long as I am still doing dishes!"

"We had this dishwasher delivered and installed in our new home middle of November 08. It is now middle of December 08 and it has already been removed and replaced with a regular unit. This model does not dry dishes or clean dishes. It was actually missing a key part in the bottom dishwasher, which led to water leaking through the floor and into our basement drywalled ceiling. Now we are waiting on the claim for the celing repair. We made the mistake of not reading the reviews before we purchased this unit. I would urge anyone who spends this amount of money on an appliance to read the reviews before wasting your money."

"I had bought a new home,we went to Sear's to get our appliances,we spent about 10,000 dollars that evening,I saw the 2 drawer dishwasher and thought that look's pretty and different, believe me look's are deceiving,I had nothing but problems with it, i had to have it serviced 6 times, also this product was not made for the average family much to small i was loading it all the time best for a single person if they work out the kink's. thank goodness I had the master protection plan ,and sear's is replacing it with a full refund.So if you need appliances go to sear's .The service was prompt and they back up there products"

"This is the worst applicance we have ever bought. After the very first load I was disappointed. One: it takes more soap; Two: You have to wash the dishes before you put them in; Three: You have to dry the dishes when the dishwasher is done...whenever that is. The best part is when we called Sears and told them how disappointed we were - they were happy to help us select another dishwaster without any problems. Sears has great customer Service! (at least in Manhattan KS)."

Beautiful Machine, but Dirty Dishes,April 1, 2008

"I loved the look of the machine and the height of the top drawer is great for my back. But, the reason we have a dishwasher is to wash dishes; and, this machine is terrible. My plates don't fit, it couldn't hold many dishes, and the dishes were not clean. The plate tines are too close, so food would stay between plates and food stayed on silverware (even if dishes are pre-rinsed). My 11 year old Kenmore dishwasher was so much better. Thank goodness Sears is letting us return this machine to get another "old" faithful one. We are having to pay 15% to return it, but even with that fee the replacement will cost us much less than this machine did."

"Get past the sleek styling, this thing is a lemon! I am on my second one because we could not get the drawers to stay shut. No matter what type of detergent and rinse aid I use the dishes do not seem to come clean. I prewash everything, so much for energy saving I waste more water rinsing and rewashing! Not to mention that loading it is a nightmare, I have different sets of dshes that I alternate with and one set does not fit! it seems to be such a waste of space. I have lost more that one glass because nothing is really secure in the rack. The fan seems to run forever and nothing is ever dry! Everytime I look at it I want to kick it, do not be swayed avoid this dishwasher!"

"I usually am not interested in appliances, used them only as functional parts of the kitchen, but this one is so great! I LOVE THIS DISHWASHER! Even after reading these reviews, I don't agree. It's so quiet, washes the dishes so well without even rinsing off first, and I like having to run only 1 at a time. Highly recommend this one."

"Wish I had seen these reviews before, I would have not made this mistake.Always water in the bottom, called sears repair and they put in a new pump. Very Noisy. Dishes are never dry, have to hand dry. Also does not get dishes clean and I pre-rinse. Top drawer is useless for loading items. Very bad design and functions. Also take a longggg time to do one load."

"We bought this unit as part of our kitchen remodel and absolutely hated it. The dishes never fully come clean unless they are totally pre-rinses. The inside, especially the bottom, stays wet all the time and most importantly, it doesn't fit very much and is difficult to load. Don't buy this dishwasher. It is overrated and too expensive"

"Before buying this dishwasher I read all the reviews. but it's handsome good looks won over the possibility of a less than superior performance. I am happy to report that my unit cleans to perfection, even cheesy glass baking dishes. The cycle is long but very quiet. This is a class act."

"I love drawer concept. If I could get the vibration fixed in the bottom drawer the ratings would be all 5 Stars. If I were building a home or doing a complete kitchen remodel, I would put one top drawer on each side of the sink and skip the bottom drawer. The top drawer is at the perfect height and works great, the bottom drawer on mine has a vibration that they have not been able to pinpoint. The biggest frustration is when they schedule service there is no guarantee they will show up during the scheduled time. I use Everyday Living Powder detergent and keep my rinse agent full. Everything comes out clean and dry. They dishwasher takes a long time to run, but I love the fact that I can fill another drawer if I need to. Loading the dishwasher did take some getting used to, but now I have it down to science and love it. I hope I never have to go back to the traditional style dishwasher."

"I LOVE the look of this dishwasher. It never occurred to me that a NEW dishwasher would not be deep enough for my dinner plates. There is NO WAY to load these plates - they are just too tall, and the tines are not moveable, so I cannot 'lean' them over. If I am lucky, my local Sears store will take this piece of equipment back and let me exchange it for something that is useful. I just retired, we're remodeling our kitchen, and I just HAD to have the drawer model. Well, it certainly is NOT worth the price we paid (my retirement present to myself) Especially since I will have to wash all my dinner plates by hand if we keep this monstrosity. But it sure is pretty!"

"A perfectly beautiful piece of junk. Looked so great when installed. Too bad it never cleaned well, smelled terrible and could not hold larger items. I returned it and bought the regular -style Elite and love it. My recommendation is that you do the same"

"spent the extra $ for this thing but I might as well use the rain outside to wash my dishes; and I live in Arizona! It does a terrible job getting anything clean, it is NOT quiet, I tried every different type of detergent, I even called a Sears technician who came over to look things over; he spent 20 minutes making sure it was installed right, billed Sears $150 and said it was my hard water. needless to say, now I have to wash my dishes before I wash my dishes. The only good thing about this dishwasher is that it looks good."

"I like this dishwasher a lot. It takes a lot of getting used to when loading it, but it is getting easier. It has a constant "low rinse agent" light on it, starting when I first turned it on! When I called, the customer service agent told me that it was supposed to be always lit up (according to the manual). He didn't have an answer for why it would be on there at all if it was supposed to tell you when the rinse aid was low if it was always on. I only have a problem with the cleaning abilities with peanut butter on my knives. Other than that, I don't really rinse anything before putting it in and it still cleans. It was a gift, so I don't know if I would have paid that much for it, but I like it and I would still recommend for my friends to get one, as long as they don't have a lot of people in their household."

"Great dishwasher if you have the time and energy to rewash your dishes after the wash cycle! The dishes come out dirtier then when they go in and the drying cycle also has issues. You have to be a rocket scientist to load the dumb thing! The service people Sears sent has even declined service on this product! I'm soooo happy I have this brand new dishwasher!!!"

"After spending this much money for a dishwasher I at least expect it to clean and dry my dishes. I should not have to hand dry every item before putting them away. This product looks great but Kenmore better improve the drying element immediately. I did read the other reviews before I purchased this dishwasher but I thought that it was just their problem. Pay attention - this system doesn't work!!! I am going to ask for a full refund and see if I can purchase a dishwasher that will actually work."

"I am extremely disappointed with my new purchase, Kenmore Elite double drawer dishwasher. Dishes are not clean after washing; leaves a residue on dishes; inside of dishwasher is always wet long after the drying cycle; dishes and utensils are wet long after they should have dried; too small for dinner plates. In my opinion, it is an open invitation for bacteria buildup and invitation for silverfish, roaches and other insects thriving off standing water.
Looks good, I adore the design, very disappointed in performance."
