Only Up Never Down,June 25, 2009
By orionsixfrom San Diego, CA
"I have a Craftsman garage opener model # 139.53995SRT, new to the market in 2001. This remote works good if you only want to open your garage door. Sadly, the opener will not close the garage door. It will only responded with 10 clicks and 10 simultaneous flashes of the light bulb. I have yet to figure that out. There is no troubleshooting resources in the manual or online for those 10 flashes."

Barely works,March 9, 2009
By Nigel26from New York, NY
"This was unfortunately the only compatible remote control for the garage door opener that I had purchased. I had already read poor reviews on this product, but had no choice, so I purchased it. It is as lousy as the reviews had said. I usually have to press the remote 10 times before the garage door opens. I also have to be less than a few feet away from the door. I am very disappointed in this product."

Programing The Remote,December 10, 2008
By indyboy2from Lawrenceburg In
"I bought a remote exactly like the one I already have and followed the directions that came with the remote. They were different than the directions that are on the back of the unit. Push and release the purple button on the unit, and the light will come on steady. then push the button on the remote and hold it down. When the light on the unit blinks, let go of the remote button. That's all you do. The whole task took me about 15 seconds. Very pleased."

Watch your directions,September 25, 2008
By Rob06from Riverside, Ca.
"While re-programming one of my remotes, I followed the instructions on the back of the unit. They didn't work. I found the opener's manual on line, the directions are different and they did the trick. If you are having difficulty, try this. Push the "learn" button on the receiver, but don't hold it down. While the indicator light is lit, push the transmitter button. The main lights will blink and you're done."

"The remote came with the belt driven opener which has a battery back-up. This opener is a great improvement over earlier models, easy to install and is extremely quiet when operating."
