Worth every penny, July 8, 2009
By Alrighty from Minneapolis,MN

"Bought my jack in june 09 after reading close to 70 reviews about the sears ATV/motorcycle jack and other brands like it.And most buyers hated the bottle jack type but this one is built like the 3 1/2 ton jack,is easier to control, can get wet without fear of rust but i can't use the Adapter Bars because my bike sits to low(01 Road Star)Once you jack the bike up to where you want it and the locking mechanism engages,be sure to let the pressure off so that the jack itself does the work like it should.I love mine and all my craftman tools."

Needs adapters for 06 Dyna Street Bob, June 29, 2009
By streetbob06 from Indianapolis, IN

"I really liked this jack because it was very light and also gets very low, so I went ahead and bought it. My 06 Dyna Street Bob sits too low to the ground to use most other jacks. However, after I bought this jack, I realized that the lift arms were connected by a crosspiece, making it impossible to keep the kick stand down while lifting. I was very bummed out, and was about to return it until I realized that I could raise the kickstand, then sit on the bike and use a 1' by 2' piece of thick plywood and also some boards against the frame to get the clearance I needed to lift the bike with this jack. I was able to successfully lift my bike and do the service I needed to do on the front end of my bike using this jack. If you have a Dyna like mine and it is too late to return your jack, don't lose hope. Just use some creativity! You can also buy a lift adapter kit from Harley that may help keep the bike more stable. I bought one and use the adapters on the front, and a 3/4" board on back."

Poor design, June 16, 2009
By Junie46 from Old biker, Va.

"I passed on the cheaper one because it really was light, but with the front horizontal bar it will not go under the kickstand on a low bike. It should have an opening like all the rest. Good features and safe, great jack but hard to position."

Everything I hoped for....., June 1, 2009
By bobcat68 from Warrenton, Va.

"This jack has all the facilities that one needs. After reading many reviews, I purchased one in order to perform regular maintenance and cleaning services to my metric cruiser. After bringing it over to a friends garage to do some service to his cruiser, he immediately went out & got the same jack. It fits both bikes perfectly (Honda VTX 1300). I'm pleased that I spent the extra money to get this jack. Some crank this jack for being low quality but you simply need to know what happens when you turn the handle. Couldn't have expected anymore, definitely worth the investment. Will use for all my Craftsman lawn equipment and metric cruisers."

Worked Once, March 23, 2009
By RacerRick from Knoxville, TN

"I bought this jack to help with dropping a flat six engine from a car. The engine weighed approximately 450 lbs. as dropped.

I was able to jack the jack up and get the engine loaded onto the jack, and to lower the jack after the engine mounting bolts were removed. I disengaged the safety detent and was able to smoothly lower the engine, no problems there.

But when I later wanted to raise the engine to facilitate attaching the engine to a stand, I discovered the jack simply would not work - if I pushed the handle down, the jack would raise a little, but constant force needed to be held on the handle and as soon as I released the force on the handle, the jack would lower.

Needless to say the jack is going back to Sears at the earliest opportunity.

Excellent Jack, March 18, 2009
By BlvdC50T from Matthews, NC

"So far, this jack has exceeded my expectations. Light weight (much better than the steel jacks), low profile to easily slide under my motorcycle (or any other item to be picked-up), and easy to use. The four position locking mechanism is a huge plus."

Simply great, March 13, 2009
By MJWAOW from Pickerington, OH

"AWESOME! Lightweight, easy to maneuver even w/the bike attached, comes w/the tie down straps. Don't have anything negative to say about this product. Worth the extra money. Being aluminum allows you to clean wash the bike while it's at eye level."

Great for Kawasaki KLR650, February 2, 2009
By KLR650 from Santa Maria, CA

"I've got a 2008 KLR650 with a Happy Trail skid plate on the bottom. It fits great and is very stable. After reading the other reviews saying the jack isn't stable, they are probably not using the straps to secure the bike down. Its extremely stable even when wrenching on the rear axle for a tire change.

The steel jack was going to be my purchase originally but decided at the last minute to get the aluminum jack. I'm glad I did! When moving it made a huge difference, and the jack could be carried by a single person quite easily. I wish it was a little cheaper but its well worth the money anyway.

Does the job, November 14, 2008
By TT1953 from Akron, Oh

"I have a 08 FLHT Harley and a CB900 Honda. The jack does a good job of lifting both. It is a great help for cleaning and routine maintenance. The safety latch is a nice touch. Jack lifts and lowers smoothly. When lowering you only need to crack the release to lower or it can come down fast. This is the only trick part to the jack and kept it from getting 5 stars."

Will be returning my 2nd jack, November 9, 2008
By tj900

"1st jack was bent when assembling. When on flat garage floor, one caster was off the ground. Returned it. 2nd jack I got as exchange, just broke after using it to drop a 500lb motor out of my car. Thats 1/3 the capacity of the jack! Checked fluid level etc and verified that the piston is indeed blown. Wow - this is getting expensive. Thank goodness it did not drop my motor or come down unexpectantly. That would have been expensive. May ask for my money back and try something else...."

Good Product, but..., October 31, 2008
By hallma1 from AL

"The jack works well. It's a fine product. The problem I have with the jack is that it does not fit my 2009 H-D XL1200L well at all. I ALWAYS use the lift straps and NEVER lift unless I have someone to help me.
Because of the way the lifter plate rests against the frame of my bike, I just don't trust it.
If I was satisfied with the way the jack fits my bike, I would give 5 stars.

Great Jack, October 25, 2008
By Wolfman1514 from Palm Coast, FL

"I read reviews, I went over some and I have no Idea what some of you are talking about when you say H instead of a box. I will tell you I have 4 Harleys, and I have had 2 types of sears jacks, the first style which was steel, and then this one. I have no problems getting it under any of my bikes from either side, nothing in the way, I have no problem lowering it, It does come down slow if you turn the handle slowley!!, and it fits all of my bikes. I don't use the tie down straps, because the jack does fit and sucure the bike (but not reconmmended). The jack is all is the best I have seen on the market. I just bought 2 more for my bikes, I now have 4, I am storing my bikes for 14 months as I am going over seas, (ARMY). I will store the bikes on each of the stands. Great Jack !!!!!!!!!!."

Dyna Screamin Eagle, October 17, 2008
By Anonymous from Mission Viejo, CA

"My wife surprised me with this jack as a birthday gift. I was apprehensive in the beginning as I had read reviews and most of them weren’t too positive. I purchased the “Twin Cam 88 Lift Adapter Kit” from my Harley dealer and went in. With the bike standing vertical (kick stand up) I moved the jack under the bike. The three blocks from the kit fit on the left and right front, and left rear. I used a ½ inch plywood shim on the right rear lift saddle of the jack (fits under the flange welded to the bike frame). The bike jacked up clean, and after I figured out the safety lock (height lock release) down it came. Be careful with this, the handle and release valve could operate smoother. I let the bike ¾ of the way down and sat on the bike to ground the bike and release the jack. Take it slow as it’s difficult to hog tie the bike to jack and lift."
