"I just received this sharpener and I am completely happy with it. I sharpened my mower blades amd my axe. This tool is more like a powered whetstone than a grinder. You need to remove large nicks with a regular grinder and then use this sharpener to hone a fine edge. It is a little messy to use because the water will fly off the wheel if it is set too high. I recommend this product."

"This product is good for sharpening small utensils and the like but not very durable and sufficient for larger sharpening jobs, such as lawn mower blades... It does fabulous on smaller utensils like knives, scissors, chisels and other tools. I was somewhat mislead by the product name and the picture description. If it can sharpen pruning shears then it should be able to sharpen mower blades but I found this not to be true."
